What a Wonderful World with Jonathan Pain
Jonathan Pain's What a Wonderful World presentation took Matthews Steer clients and prospects on a whistle stop economic tour of the world from West to East, via the Middle East.
The inexorable shift of the centre of economic gravity east has potential consequences for many of our clients so we asked the man behind ‘The Pain Report,’ Jonathan Pain, to present on implications and opportunities for Australian business at our Wealth Insights event on May 26.
With 32 years international investment experience, Pain is always a popular speaker at Matthews Steer events, framing Australian business and the economy in a global context. He told the assembled attendees there is much to be optimistic about when it comes to the world economy, and outlined the potential advantages of Australia’s geo-proximity to Asia now and in the future. Matthews Steer’s Head of Private Wealth, Anthony Flapper, also presented at our Wealth Insights event, providing an analysis of Coalition-proposed superannuation measures that may come into play in July 2017. Flapper explained how the new measures stack up against current super regulations, and what clients need to consider before the end of the financial year. Attended by more than 100 Matthews Steer clients and prospects, the two-hour event also provided attendees an opportunity to network over drinks and finger food.
