Non-Executive Director

Barbara joined Matthews Steer as an advisor to the board in late 2005 and was appointed as a Director in 2006.

A qualified accountant, she brings substantial financial and management experience to the position including 9 years as a board member of Environment Protection Victoria (2000-2009) and as a member of Audit Committee for a number of these years.

For 7 years Barbara was the Executive Director of the Western Melbourne Regional Economic Development Organisation (WREDO) (1998 -2005) and is currently a member of Western Melbourne Regional Development Australia. From 2005 to 2009 she was Industry Engagement Coordinator at Victoria University.

Barbara has edited four editions of The Small Business Handbook – How to start and successfully operate a small business.
