STRATEGIC FOCUS AT THE HEART OF MATTHEWS STEER ADVISORY APPOINTMENT
Specialist business strategist, Tristan Glennon, has been appointed Manager of Corporate Advisory at Matthews Steer.
The newly-created role will encompass and extend a range of existing Matthews Steer business advisory services including strategic planning, mentoring and government grant application support.
“At Matthews Steer we’re passionate about assisting clients to grow their businesses,” says Glennon. “My work includes helping business owners to define their strategic direction, providing structure around their planning and strategy, supporting them as they implement change and engaging their employees so they’re excited and energised about their business journey.”
Glennon, who has been consulting to Matthews Steer for the past four years, said there’s never been a better opportunity for small to medium enterprises to access advisory support.
“As businesses begin to open up again and get back on track after COVID, it is a very good time for owners to take the time to reset their strategy, rethink their growth plans, educate themselves about the business grants available, and have a clear understanding of risk, and how to manage it,” he said.
“Our aim is to bring simplicity to our clients and to focus them on the key actions that will help them implement change, increase profitability, expand into new markets and grow. It’s incredibly satisfying and rewarding to support businesses to achieve real transformation in their strategy, and in the mindsets of their employees and management teams.”
As Matthews Steer continues to expand its service offering beyond the traditional scope of accounting services providers, Managing Partner Ken Matthews said Glennon’s appointment will further bolster the firm’s capability in the business advisory space.
“In his years consulting to us Tristan has achieved great success for a number of our clients, including providing assistance with strategic planning, and securing government grants worth millions of dollars,” said Matthews.
“Tristan is relationship focused, and he successfully challenges our clients’ traditional thinking while being extremely easy to work with and a great collaborator. His approach has consistently delivered real results for our clients, and we’re delighted to welcome him aboard as a fully-fledged member of the Matthews Steer team.”
