Moonee Valley Leaders in Business Breakfast: The three essentials for business success
Friday, August 28, 2015
Matthews Steer was delighted to partner Moonee Valley Council’s 2015 Leaders in Business Breakfast in August. Vibrant and thought-provoking event, the breakfast attracted nearly 200 guests including members of the council, local business owners and other influential community stakeholders.
As a speaker at the breakfast, Stephen Wooster inspired guests with two insightful case studies that highlighted the role Matthews Steer’s Strategic Focus and Catalyst Programs have played in helping clients formulate strategy and achieve success.
David Smorgon OAM was Keynote speaker at the breakfast. As a former president of the Western Bulldogs AFL Club, founding chairman of Family Business Australia and accomplished local businessman, David has a wealth of knowledge and experience and shared it generously with his audience.
David highlighted how essential attitude, approach and maximum effort are to achieving success in business, identified his rules for success, shared mistakes that he had made during his own entrepreneurial journey and provided valuable insight into how to succeed as a small businessperson.
David’s impassioned delivery and willingness to share his own personal experience had his audience captivated.
An annual event on the Moonee Valley calendar, the Leaders in Business Breakfast is one of a series of events staged by the council during Small Business Month to promote the growth of local SMEs, and grow the economy and local jobs market in Melbourne’s North West.
