IT Solutions company Zynet started working with Matthews Steer just over two years ago. In the words of founder Paul Turner, the decision to do so has seen their business “go gangbusters”.
Paul Turner founded Zynet after more than 12 years working in corporate IT with companies such as National Mutual (now AXA) and Mobil Oil Australia (now Exxon Mobil).
Having worked in the IT industry for over a decade, Turner was acutely aware of the shortcomings of outsourced IT solutions, which motivated him to start his own business. He established business solutions firm Zynet, in 1999, and began commercial operations in 2000. Just over two years ago the MD and CEO decided he wanted to take his business to the next level, and realised that in order to do so, he would need to make some changes.
“We were with an accountancy firm that wasn’t driving strategy, they were all about compliance so the planning element was missing,” Turner said.
